Patricia Marsden-Dole

Patricia Marsden-Dole retired from the Canadian Foreign Service in 2003 and has since been actively engaged in several organisations dealing with issues related to aging.

She was a board member of the Ottawa chapter of the federal retirees association (FSNA) for seven years, and has been with theInterfaith Network for Isolated Seniors since 2005, Board member of the Centretown Citizens Community Association and founder and chair of the Seniors Committee of that organisation. She is also the volunteer social justice coordinator for the Archdiocese of Ottawawhich engages her in many issues and groups advocating on issues related to poverty, affordable housing, the dignity of those in prison, palliative care, etc. She has just completed her doctorate at Saint Paul University on a subject related to the culture of aging in an aging society.
