Louise Plouffe

Louise Plouffe brings extensive experience in aging policy research and development to her position as Director of Research, International Longevity Centre (ILC) Canada. She conducted and guided policy research and analyses related to the health and wellbeing of older persons and to an aging society for the Public Health Agency of Canada and the National Advisory Council on Aging for many years, and was a consultant on aging and health promotion to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the ILC Brazil. Louise developed the WHO Age Friendly Cities initiative and has remained involved in its development nationally, internationally and locally.
