Champlain Elder Abuse Response Coalition (CEARC)

The Champlain Elder Abuse Response Coalition (CEARC) is committed to the principle that all seniors have the right to live in a safe environment free of abuse and neglect. We do this through increased awareness, education, development of community strategies and programs designed to respond to this very real and growing problem.

Chair: Manon Thompson, Regional Consultant, Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (ONPEA)

Committees

The COA convenes, advocates for and enhances programs and services that keep vulnerable seniors independent and engaged in the community. We do this through the ongoing work of our committees in the following areas:

  • Health issues
  • Housing
  • Seniors' income security
  • Vulnerable and isolated seniors
