Promote your FREE webinars and virtual events to an audience of over 3,000 readers. Member organizations are welcome to submit their upcoming events to be posted here. Organizations may submit their Community Event(s) by entering information in the Form below the Calendar at the bottom of this page and hitting “submit”.
Events can be submitted up to 30 days prior to the event. Event submissions received up to Friday at 12 noon will be posted the following Monday on the Community Events page and the following Tuesday in the INFO-FLASH Events newsletter. Tuesday INFO-FLASH Events newsletters cover events for the next seven days. Events will be removed from the pages after the event date has passed or when requested to be removed by the submitting organization.
The COA reserves the right to post events at their discretion.
Please note: All submissions must have a name and contact information (phone number and/or an email) and an URL link (not a Zoom link) for the event to be posted. The COA will select a feature event from the submissions that include a poster (png or jpeg format) each week. Events that repeat on several dates or are part of a series need to be submitted individually, one post per occurrence.
If the submission is incomplete, it will not be posted. We are unable to make changes to events after submission unless you are requesting to remove the event. Event changes must be resubmitted by Friday at 12 noon. Thank you.
Inclusion criteria for posting:
Postings must be of value of older adults and their caregivers and be of local interest.
We encourage postings to be made available in English and in French, but it is not required. Translation is not provided.
Inclusion in the INFO-FLASH Events newsletter and on the Community Events page does not imply endorsement by COA.
Postings that are not acceptable include:
- Partisan and political postings
- Advertisement for the sale of goods or merchandise – including the services offered by an individual
- Promotions of a faith
- Material that is intended to slander a group or person, or that promotes hatred or discrimination
This service is free for non-profit agencies serving older adults within the City of Ottawa and member organizations that provide services that are free, subsidized, or for a minimal fee.
Fees may apply to other posting requests. For organizations interested in advertising, please email email@example.com. Thank you.
