SUMMARY:Ottawa PC Users' Group monthly meeting - Restoring old photos
DESCRIPTION:The Ottawa PC Users’ Group will be hosting their monthly general meeting through video-conference. The topic for Wednesday\, April 8th is “Restoring old photos“. \nHow many of us have inherited boxes of old family photos and have watched them slowly deteriorate while trying to decide what to do with them? Lynda Buske will show how you how to work with the digital images to straighten\, sharpen\, adjust light\, remove scratches\, lines and spots using free software (Photoscape X). She will also briefly discuss the possible use of AI to improve your images and how best to display and share them afterwards (e.g.\, collage\, photobook). \nLynda is an avid photographer who has penned the Through the Lens column in the OPCUG newsletter for the past 6 years. She has given over 140 presentations on a wide variety of photographic topics at many organizations\, including the Ottawa Public Library\, the Orleans Photo Club\, the OPCUG\, and others. Lynda is the Competition Director at the Orleans Photo Club and the Membership Chair of the OPCUG. \nThis meeting will be via Zoom video conference. \nJoin us at https://tinyurl.com/opcug-meeting.
