SUMMARY:The Legacy Expo
DESCRIPTION:The Legacy Expo: Shifting the narrative from taboo and fear to open dialogue\, learning\, and community strength. \nThe Legacy Expo is a three-day community event designed to connect\, educate\, and empower. While the weekend includes a networking event and documentary film screening\, at the heart of the weekend is the Legacy Expo on Sunday  May 3rd\, a free event for the public from 12-3pm at the Glebe Community Center.  \nWith over 30 vendors and four engaging presentations\, attendees can explore topics ranging from downsizing and navigating life’s next chapter\, to caregiver support and resources (online and in-person)\, hospice care for both humans and pets\, grief in the workplace\, and the role of artistic creativity in healing. Interested in learning about soundbaths or how to talk to children about grief? Those are just two of the workshops being offered during the day. There truly is something for everyone. \nThe Legacy Expo highlights the depth and diversity of services available in the Ottawa region for everyone\, but specifically those who are aging\, stepping into caregiving roles\, planning ahead\, or simply wanting to be informed before it’s too late. It’s about being proactive\, not reactive. \nToo often we hear\, “I wish I had known about this sooner.” The Legacy Expo exists to make sure you do. \nTo find out more and to view our online program\, visit our website: thelegacyexpo.com\, follow us on Instagram: @the_legacy_expo and register for your free ticket today: https://tinyurl.com/2ndLegacyExpo

SUMMARY:Ottawa PC Users' Group monthly meeting - Ask the geeks!
DESCRIPTION:The Ottawa PC Users’ Group will be hosting their monthly general meeting through video-conference. The topic for Wednesday\, May 13th is “Ask the geeks!” \nThis month’s meeting will take the form of a super-Q&A session. We will have a panel of self-proclaimed “geeks” (or are they “experts”?) available to answer all of your computer-related questions. At least. they will provide the answers provided that they have sufficient expertise! So\, that’s going to be the challenge. In contrast to our normal Q&A sessions\, we will not have a PowerPoint deck with prepared questions and answers. Instead\, we invite you to test our panel’s mettle with your real-time queries! So\, come to the meeting with your question readily at hand. If there are no questions\, it could be a very short meeting. On the other hand\, there could be some useful insights into the solutions to various issues\, and some very interesting discussions if our experts don’t actually agree on the answers! \nThis meeting will be via Zoom video conference. \nJoin us at https://tinyurl.com/opcug-meeting. The Zoom link will be live at 7:15 pm. The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm. \nGuests are welcome at OPCUG events. \nAlthough attendees don’t have to be computer experts\, basic computer literacy is assumed. \nAsk the Geeks!
