SUMMARY:La Marche des générations
DESCRIPTION:Comptez avec moi : un\, deux\, trois.

SUMMARY:The Walk of Ages
DESCRIPTION:Count with me. One. Two. Three. We are all three seconds older. Aging is something we all share\, and it connects us all\, no matter our age\, cultural\, ethnic\, political\, or religious background\, or gender and sexual orientation identity. \nThe Walk of Ages is an intergenerational walk fundraiser in Ottawa that brings people together to celebrate and support older adults while recognizing that aging is a shared journey across every stage of life. \nThrough the Walk of Ages\, we take another step toward our vision of a community where older adults are respected\, informed\, and engaged\, living in an age-friendly city. \nOur goal is to shift thinking so that aging is not seen as something that only applies to older adults\, but as a universal experience that connects us all. By doing so\, we aim to break down barriers\, foster understanding\, and encourage everyone to take up the cause of aging together. In doing so\, we strengthen intergenerational connection and build a more inclusive community. \nAt its heart\, the Walk of Ages is about celebrating aging at every stage of life while strengthening the community we all share.

SUMMARY:Southwinds Café: The First 48 Hours - What Happens When No One Has a Plan
DESCRIPTION:None of us want to think about it. But for the families who’ve lived through those first 48 hours without a plan in place\, they’ll tell you: they wish someone had sat them down beforehand and just walked them through it. \nBecause the clock doesn’t wait for grief. \nWithin hours of a loved one’s passing\, families are faced with decisions they’ve never made before — who to call\, what to sign\, how to notify the government\, and more. \nIt’s not anyone’s fault for not knowing. It’s just that most of us don’t talk about it – until it’s too late. \nJoin funeral director Jason Swan as he walks you through exactly what happens after a death: the people involved\, the decisions that can’t wait (plus the ones that can)\, and what you can do about it today. Jason has guided families through the first 48 hours hundreds of times. He’s seen firsthand what a difference a little preparation makes — and what it costs emotionally and financially when there isn’t any. \nIn this candid\, compassionate conversation\, Jason will let you know: \n\nWhat the first 48 hours actually look like\, step by step\nWho’s involved — and what each of them needs from you\nWhich decisions are time-sensitive\, and what can wait\nWhat can happen when no instructions exist\nWhat a simple\, meaningful plan actually looks like — and how easy it can be to make one\n\nThis isn’t about planning for death. It’s about protecting the people you love from unnecessary pain at the worst possible moment. \nJoin us. Bring someone you care about.
