Where are things at in Long-Term Care?

Sep 24, 2020 | 10:00 am - 11:30 am

 COA Online

About this Event: The COVID-19 crisis has exposed several pre-existing and systemic vulnerabilities in our long-term care (LTC) homes. The evolution of the pandemic and the spread of the virus in LTC has horrified us, leaving us wanting to understand how and why this could have happened in our modern health care system.

If you would like to learn more about this complex and long-standing situation and discuss what we can do to improve LTC, join us for a stimulating presentation and discussion on the issues plaguing our LTC sector.

Presenter: Diane Hupé, COA Board member and Chair of the Health Issues Committee

Diane Hupé Diane is a bilingual health professional who brings to the Council on Aging of Ottawa decades of extensive health care experience in clinical, administrative, strategic leadership and governance roles. She has worked in many sectors of health care including acute care, palliative care, home and community care, complex continuing care and long-term care.
