
City of Ottawa’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2023
You are cordially invited to celebrate the 2023 United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities with the City of Ottawa.
The UN theme for 2023 is “United in action to rescue and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) for, with and by persons with disabilities”.

Please join the City of Ottawa as we celebrate this historic day.
In addition to the Mayoral Proclamation to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, there will be a keynote speaker who will speak to the theme and the topic of bias awareness.
We will also showcase the important work of our Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) towards an accessible and equitable Ottawa.
To ensure inclusion, the following supports will be provided:
• American Sign Language (ASL)
• Langue des Signes Québécoise (LSQ)
• Continuous real-time captioning
• Simultaneous French translation
