Measuring Age-Friendly Results
Our Vision
We are committed to measuring progress in making Ottawa more age friendly. Improvements to the physical, social, and service spaces will help us achieve the results at the community level in each of the eight (8) age-friendly domains.
Our Approach
The age-friendly evaluation framework identifies results and outcomes at the community level for the physical, social, and service spaces. The AFO Evaluation Working Group identified the core indicators and sources of data in each of the eight (8) age-friendly domains. Engaging and talking with community organizations and local businesses will help us to measure progress toward age friendliness in Ottawa.
Our Successes
Age-Friendly Evaluation Tools
We encourage all community partners and seniors working toward age-friendly results to take advantage of the various assessment and evaluation tools already available and to develop specific tools to measure the age friendliness of their own neighbourhoods, as appropriate.
