DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to the Council on Aging of Ottawa’s Annual Spring Luncheon on Friday\, April 17 at the Infinity Conference Centre (2901 Gibford Dr.). Our keynote speaker\, Dr. Catherine Donnelly\, will present “Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities: Reimagining Aging in Place Through Community.” \nKeynote\nThe majority of older adults want to stay in their homes and communities as they age but face challenges in doing so. Catherine Donnelly\, a leading expert on Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORCs)\, will highlight the NORC Oasis program and share key learnings while exploring the benefits NORCs can have for older adults\, service providers\, and the health-care system. Notre conférencière principale\, la Dre Catherine Donnelly\, présentera :« Communautés de retraite naturelle : repenser le vieillissement chez soi grâce à la communauté » \nDiscours\nLa majorité des aînés souhaitent rester chez eux et dans leur communauté en vieillissant\, mais rencontrent des difficultés. La Dre Catherine Donnelly\, experte reconnue des communautés de retraite naturelles (CRN)\, présentera le programme Oasis des CRN et partagera des enseignements clés\, tout en explorant les avantages que ces communautés peuvent apporter aux aînés\, aux fournisseurs de services et au système de santé.
