My name is Abby Lee, and I am conducting my placement with the COA as part of my 4th-year capstone project in the Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences at Carleton University. I am excited to continue to work with this incredible team, under the supervision of Bonnie Schroeder and Michele Brenning.
My placement project will focus on improving home and community care in Ontario by evaluating best practices using the Denmark Model of home and community care as a framework to create future recommendations.
Apart from my studies, I work with the federal government at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research as a student coordinator. My current job and my work with the COA have inspired my interest in pursuing a career in health policy.
I love to spend quality time with my friends and family, trying out new recipes, baking, hiking, and travelling.
