The Ottawa PC Users’ Group will be hosting their monthly general meeting through video-conference. The topic for Wednesday, November 12th is Home automation – an introduction

This presentation will show how home automation technology allows us to control our connected devices and appliances from a central hub using a smartphones or a tablet. Bill will explain how to set up a system using widely available home automation devices.

Are you worried about home automation devices listening in on your conversations? Do you wonder if your devices can be hacked? Do you know how to prevent this? Bill will answer these questions and more in this presentation, making it a bit easier to take the first step to automate your home – and get a better price for it when you sell!

This meeting will be via Zoom video conference.

Although attendees don’t have to be computer experts, basic computer literacy is assumed.
