The Council on Aging of Ottawa
The Ottawa PC Users’ Group will be hosting their monthly general meeting through video-conference. The topic for Wednesday, October 8th is Wi-Fi Extenders, Wi-Fi Routers & Wi-Fi Mesh.
Most improvements in Local Area Networking and routers have been on the wireless Wi-Fi part of the equation. Using a live demo consisting of a Fixed Wireless Access Internet connection, Wi-Fi extenders, and a two-router mesh, Francis Chao from the Tucson Computer Society will demonstrate how the latest Wi-Fi 7, 6E, and 6 technologies improve the use of computers, tablets, cell phones, cameras, and other Internet of Things devices.
This meeting will be via Zoom video conference.
Guests are welcome at OPCUG events.
Although attendees don’t have to be computer experts, basic computer literacy is assumed.
