At The Beat Of My Heart, you will experience the power of live drumming led by renowned musician and cultural ambassador Fana Soro. Through rhythm, movement, and shared energy, this special event invites you to reconnect with yourself and with others.

Guided by Fana Soro, you will be immersed in live rhythms that awaken the body and calm the mind. Just come as you are. Each beat is an invitation to be present, grounded, and connected.

About Fana Soro

Fana Soro is a musician, dancer, and educator from the Senoufo tribe in northern Côte d’Ivoire. A former member of the prestigious Ballet National de Côte d’Ivoire, he is also a hereditary master of the balafon, a traditional West African gourd-resonated xylophone.

Since moving to Canada in 1997, Fana has become a respected cultural ambassador, sharing West African music, dance, and storytelling with audiences across the country. He has worked with over a hundred schools and is the founder and creative director of Masabo, a performance group dedicated to traditional West African arts. Now based in Ottawa, he continues to inspire communities through his vibrant and engaging work.
