Ottawa PC Users’ Group monthly meeting – Everything you didn’t know, but wanted to know, about the Ottawa Public Library

October 9 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The Ottawa PC Users’ Group (OPCUG) invites the public to participate in its upcoming online presentation Everything you didn’t know, but wanted to know, about the Ottawa Public Library at the Wednesday, October 9th general meeting.

Public libraries are about books…and so much more! Carol Pearson and Elisabeth Cloutier will talk about their journey into the extensive world of the Ottawa Public Library.

Did you know the OPL allows you to borrow ebooks, passes to local museums, electronic editions of newspapers and periodicals, video games & DVD movies, and even musical instruments?

Digitize your precious old photographs, home movies & VHS tapes in the Digitization Lab. Create 3-D printed objects and laser etch objects in the Imagine Space. You can even use a green screen room and video production equipment.

You can print hard copies of your documents, use an in-branch computer, access the Internet over WiFi 24×7, take Linked in Learning courses, access Ancestry Library for genealogy research, and so much more.
