The Council on Aging of Ottawa
The Ottawa PC Users’ Group will be hosting their monthly general meeting through video-conference. The topic for February is Using ChatGPT to program in Python.
Python is an easy-to-learn (so they say) interpretive “scripting” language to manipulate all kinds of data. Follow Tom Trottier from the Ottawa PC Users’ Group as he tries to cajole ChatGPT into creating a python program to combine chat and caption transcripts together by time. This will be Tom’s first Python program.
Tom Trottier first started programming with the APL language in 1971 and switched from Photo Arts to Computer Science. He’s worked for a variety of private and government organisations as employee and consultant, ending up as an Information Architect. Aside from Excel and batch files, this is his first dip into programming in years.
This meeting will be via Zoom video conference.
