Overview of common myths about testosterone replacement – with Dr. Luke Witherspoon

Hypogonadism (low testosterone) is a commonly discussed condition among men of all ages. However, many myths about risks and touted benefits exist. This presentation with Dr. Luke Witherspoon will work through how this condition is properly diagnosed and debunk common myths associated with replacement therapy.

More on our presenter:

Dr. Luke Witherspoon is a staff urologist within the Division of Urology at the Ottawa Hospital. and a clinical researcher at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.  He completed his urology residency at the Ottawa Hospital and then completed a fellowship in male sexual medicine and infertility at the University of British Columbia.

Prior to his medical training Dr. Witherspoon completed a Master’s in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa and Master’s in Engineering Biotechnology at the University of Pennsylvania. His practice focuses on male sexual medicine and infertility. His main clinical practice is housed within the new Grass Family Men’s Health Centre at the Civic Hospital Campus. His research interests include Peyronie’s disease, erectile dysfunction and male factor infertility.
