Presenter Biography: Kayne Park is a postdoctoral fellow in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa exploring the effects of age on human behaviour. He earned his PhD in neuroscience at Queen’s University by investigating the use of robotic devices as tools to assess neurological impairments. His current research is exploring whether robotic technologies can train older adults to improve their engagement in physical activity. In his spare time, Kayne is an avid foodie and enjoys finding the tasty food to try in Ottawa.
Objective: This presentation will provide the audience with a perspective of the current research in human motor control, how robotic devices are being used to understand the fundamentals of human behaviour, and the potential of robotic technology to become powerful tools for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disease.
