Research Study – Science, Spirituality and Health

March 19 - April 30

Researchers at Carleton University are collaborating to conduct a study exploring the role that religious and/or spiritual beliefs may play in shaping relationships to science and health care. The research team is also interested in how these beliefs may have changed over time. In other words, does age matter?

To help better understand these questions, the study has launched an online survey for older adults designed to examine the potential relationships among age, religion and/or spirituality, existential issues, and health. This study builds on the gap in the World Health Organization’s age-friendly community framework in which “gender” and “culture” are acknowledged, but not directly assessed.

The survey will take approximately 30-45 mins of your time to complete.  Upon completion, you will have the choice to provide your email address to be entered into a draw to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Questions about the project can be directed to the lead researcher, Dr. Renate Ysseldyk (renate.ysseldyk@carleton.ca)
