The south wind evokes warmth, movement, growth, and openness of the heart. In that same spirit, the Southwinds Café invites older adults to gather for thought-provoking sessions where ideas flow and everyone feels at home.
The following topics will be covered:
What does it mean to belong?
Why we call crave connection
How social ties help us stay healthy and joyful
Simple ways to cultivate community and belonging in daily life
Special Highlight: One of our residents from Belcourt Retirement Home will share her personal story of finding belonging in our community.
Interactive Activity: Together, we’ll take part in a short exercise to share our own experiences of belonging and create a list of simple ways we can all help each other feel more connected. The session will end with an open Q&A, where you’ll be invited to share your own thoughts and questions.
