Smart Aging – Core Program

Time: 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM

Location: Council on Aging of Ottawa – Room 235.

Cost: $69 for members of the COA; $99 for non-members

Many seniors make significant life decisions in crisis moments. When this happens to you or your family, you often don’t have adequate tools, resources and information to make the best decisions for you, or your loved ones.

Smart Aging is a series of eight weekly, interactive workshops covering key topics facing seniors today. Each workshop is designed to provide you with the information you need, before you need it, to make smart decisions at key transition points in your life.

• Identifying transitions we need to prepare for
• Assessing one’s level of connectedness
• Finding meaning and purpose in life
• Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and finding ways to stay motivated
• Preparing for a Health crisis
• Exploring transportation and housing options
• Addressing financial concerns
