September 8 to 11 from 9AM to 4PM

Are you passionate about road safety and helping others? Do you enjoy teaching and connecting with adults in your community?

Join us as a 55 Alive Instructor and make a meaningful impact!

What is 55 Alive?: 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course is a national driver refresher course developed by the Canada Safety Council and designed especially for drivers aged 55 and over. It helps seniors stay confident and informed behind the wheel by focusing on current driving laws, defensive driving techniques, and age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time.

We’re Looking For:

• Clear and confident communicators
• Patient, friendly, and respectful individuals
• Organized and reliable team players
• Comfortable presenting in front of small groups
• No formal teaching experience needed – we provide training!

What You’ll Do:

• Lead engaging sessions using prepared course materials
• Facilitate group discussions and activities
• Support older adults in maintaining their driving skills safely
• Represent a program that supports independence and safety

You are still not sure? You won’t be alone giving your first session. You will be teamed up with a peer, and you will take turn presenting that first time.

The course is at no cost to you and the instructor manual will be provided. You are asked to teach a minimum of two courses a year, at least one within a few months following your training.
