Approaches for Well-being and Practical Session on How to Read Food Labels

​This comprehensive session will focus on the vital role gut health plays in overall well-being, ​exploring the latest scientific insights into the digestive system. You’ll learn about the gut-brain ​axis and how a healthy gut can impact mood, immunity, and cognitive function. Dr. Gupta will discuss ​the importance of probiotics and prebiotics in supporting gut flora, as well as the benefits of ​dietary soluble and insoluble fibers for digestion and long- term health.

​ ​In the practical part of the session, you’ll gain hands-on experience learning how to read food ​labels, helping you make informed decisions about the ingredients that promote gut health.

Dr. Shilpi Gupta is a scientist with a Ph.D. in cancer biology and decades of experience in biomedical research. Her work has focused on tumor resistance and relapse mechanisms, as well as the impact of cancer and obesity-related type 2 diabetes on the immune system. With numerous peer-reviewed publications, including reviews and book chapters, she has a deep understanding of human physiology, disease mechanisms, and aging.

As the founder of Curious and Creative Lab, Dr. Gupta leverages her extensive scientific expertise to make complex health topics clear and accessible. Her work centers on Healthy Aging and Women’s Health, translating cutting-edge research into practical strategies for wellbeing.
