Planning in Advance: a Gift to Those Who Matter Most​

Description

​​This presentation on Advance Care Planning, Wills and Powers of Attorney will provide participants with valuable information on making informed decisions about their future health care and personal affairs.  We will cover the importance of documenting wishes for medical treatment, appointing substitute decision-makers and ensuring that legal documents like wills and powers of attorney are in place and up to date.  Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how these tools work together to protect their rights and wishes, reduce stress for loved ones and promote peace of mind.

​Presenters

  • Marlene Morrow, End of Life Doula. Marlene assists people to prepare for important end of life decisions.
  • ​Marc Ouimet-McPherson, bilingual lawyer.  Marc serves the Ottawa-Rockland-Hawkesbury corridor in Real Estate, Business Law and Wills & Estates.

Cost: $5 for members of the COA; $10 for non-members
